TigerSense: The Machine Learning & Sensing Lab

The Machine Learning and Sensing Laboratory in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Missouri focuses on machine learning, pattern recognition, computational intelligence, signal processing, information fusion and related areas with application to sensing (primarily, understanding sensor data). The lab is involved with several projects including landmine detection, scene understanding, sub-pixel target detection, human geography, underwater scene understanding, and others. Sensor data that is used includes ground-penetrating radar, hyperspectral imagery, metal detector response, synthetic aperture SONAR, and others.
