Enos C. Inniss, Ph.D. | Director of Undergraduate Studies (CEE) | Assistant Teaching Professor
University of Missouri – Columbia
Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering
22 Heinkel Building Columbia, MO 65211
Office: 22D Heinkel Building
-Water quality and treatment facility design/operation
-Problem-Based Learning Environments (PBLE)
-Mentoring of both undergraduate and graduate students in water engineering practice
-Use of technology in the classroom
Dr. Inniss’s focus is more on service projects working with small communities in Missouri on drinking water quality compliance and on mentoring students on water engineering practice.
Previous experiences as a faculty member include a familiarity with the design, building, and operation of sequencing batch reactors (SBRs), and periodic operation of systems between anaerobic and aerobic conditions. Before coming to Columbia, MO, he served as an assistant professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio and as a member of the Center for Water Research. He continues to work on developing improved process control strategies for effective reduction of disinfection byproduct (DBP) concentrations, on efficient operation of transportable modular wastewater treatment units and on strategies for pollution control to minimize the impacts of storm water runoff. All of these efforts are conducted with a strong interest in industry/government/university partnerships.
