Graduate Research Positions Available
We are seeking motivated research assistants (master’s- or doctorate-level students) to study in the areas of environmental bioprocesses and biotechnology. The candidate will conduct research in one of the following areas:
- attached growth (biofilm) and nano-microbial interactions
- biological nutrient removal
- pathogen detection and removal
- bioreactor landfill
- algae and wetland-based wastewater treatment systems
The research will involve working in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of researchers on campus. Applicants should have bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, chemical engineering or a related field (e.g., environmental science, microbiology and/or chemistry) with some knowledge of biological processes, reactor operation and chemical analysis.
